Beautiful, mysterious, grandiose- all that encompasses the Banff Springs Hotel otherwise known as "the Castle". Last weekend we went with my parents to Banff for my cousin's wedding. My mom and I played the music for the wedding and Stew and I sang one song. We justified staying at the Banff Springs Hotel by all staying in one room- that's right- all 6 of us in ONE room. It actually worked out really well. We had a nice room and we ended up alternating who took care of the kids. The weekend was quite a whirlwind but in the same was FANTASTIC!!!!!!! It is such a great feeling knowing that I was sleeping in a castle with lots of my favorite people. The wedding was beautiful- simple and elegant and the bride, of course, was stunning!
The girls behaved very well (the best behaved of all the kids in the castle) Grandpa said!
Lots of great memories (like finding the "missing" room with Ali and wandering through the castle at 1am with Stew, and paying entirely too much money for milk at the hotel cafeteria because our fridge broke...) There is just too much to tell in one blog. I was just very happy that we could have this vacation with the whole Charlebois clan and that we could spend time with some of my dear family! It was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
