Happy 4th, Madeline!
As you can see, I have dialed down on the cake (moving and all) but it was still a hit. Madeline made her own guest list of just a few friends... although she invited everyone she saw- even the clerk at the grocery store! Yaw, Emily, Emmalea and Sam were must have on her "A" list. Jenna, Sienna and Louie hung out too. The big kids were quite tolerant of the smaller siblings. Everyone had a great time. Stew and I were quite happy that 2 parents stayed with us- 2 more people to help in the craziness of a 4 year old birthday party!
My parents were able to come down for Madeline's actual birthday and Uncle Steve came around bearing birthday surprises too. I know that Madeline really enjoyed herself, her birthday, but now that it is over we hear something different. At least 20 times per day she asks us if it is Christmas yet! Yesterday Stew was hanging some lights outside when Madeline yelled down to a neighbor walking by- "It's NOT Christmas yet!!" then she said "Oh, it's sad when it's not Christmas" and with a sigh she came inside.
Funny girl.
